Songs of Progress

                                                                Rhythms of Change

With visuals by Toy Murchie and sound by Harry Ford, this installation brings together the visual and the acoustic.

Steel, copper, brass, and wood, instruments of culture, elements, compounds of nature and humanity.

Sound, the intangible ambience, ever present, even when absent.

A three hour story in sound. As the harmonics change, so to the perception.

We need change throughout our cultures.

We are not outside nature, we are a part of it.

We must recognise and comprehend this simple fact before we destroy ourselves.

Toitu he kainga, whatungarongaro he tangata.

The land still remains when people have disappeared.
